Loons Landing Rental Policies

Rates & Fees

• Occupancy: Nightly rate includes up to 8 guests. Each additional guest is $25 per person, per night (maximum 12 guests).

• Security Deposit: A $500 refundable security deposit is required. Deductions may be made for damages, missing items, or rule violations.

• Pontoon Use: Pontoon use is included with your stay. We kindly ask that you refill the fuel tank to full after use. If you’re unable to, a $30 refueling fee will be deducted from your security deposit.

• Cleaning Fee: A $200 cleaning fee will be added to all reservations. This covers professional cleaning after your stay, ensuring the property is pristine and ready for the next guests.

• Taxes: A 7.5% lodging tax will be added to your reservation total. This is required by city, county, and state agencies and is collected and remitted on your behalf.

  • A 50% deposit of the total reservation amount is required at the time of booking to secure the reservation.

  • The remaining 50% of the reservation amount, along with a $500 refundable security deposit, is due seven (7) business days prior to check-in.
  • The refundable security deposit will be returned within seven (7) business days after check-out, pending inspection of the property for any damages or policy violations.

  • Reservations made within 14 days of check-in require full payment at the time of booking.
  • In the event of damage to the property, furnishings, or missing items, we will contact you to resolve any issues. We aim to handle all matters amicably and fairly.
  • Cancellations made at least 30 days before the arrival date will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made 15-29 days before the arrival date will receive a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made 14 days or less before the arrival date are non-refundable.

  • Refunds are not issued for weather-related cancellations.
  • Refunds or credits are not issued for no-shows or early departures.

  • We accept PayPal, Venmo, cash, and personal checks.
  • Check-in: 4:00 PM  

  • Check-Out: 10:30 AM

  • Upon check-out, we kindly ask guests to strip the bedding and gather all used towels, then place them on the laundry room floor. This small effort helps us prepare the cabin more efficiently for the next guests.

  • Unauthorized check-outs beyond designated times will result in an additional night’s stay at the summer month rate.

  • While we hope you can enjoy your entire planned stay, no refunds can be given for early departures or shortened stays.
  • A cleaning fee of $200 will be added to all reservations. This fee covers the cost of professional cleaning after your stay, ensuring the property is pristine and welcoming for the next guests.

    Please note that excessive messes or damages may result in additional charges, which will be communicated and billed accordingly or deducted from your deposit. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Dirty oven: $50
  • Excessive dishes left unwashed: $50
  • Stained linens or upholstery: $25 per item
  • Trash or food left throughout the home or yard: $50–$100
  • Furniture or décor not returned to its proper place: $50
  • Odor requiring extra cleaning: Billed at cost
  • Spills or damage requiring professional carpet or upholstery cleaning: Billed at cost

  • Loons Landing is suitable for individuals, families, corporate groups, or small gatherings.

  • To respect neighbors and the serene environment, all guests are asked to use the property responsibly. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM to ensure a peaceful environment.

  • Large house parties are prohibited. Violations will result in immediate eviction and a $500 fine.

  • Smoking is only permitted outside. Any violation of this policy will incur a $1,000 fine or the actual cost of professional smoke remediation, whichever is greater.

  • We kindly ask guests to avoid moving furniture or décor during their stay to help maintain the cabin’s arrangement and ambiance. If you do need to move something, please ensure all items are returned to their original positions before departure.

    A $50 fee may be added if furniture or décor is not returned to its proper place.

  • Guests must notify us immediately of any lost or damaged items. Fees for replacements or repairs may apply. 612-281-6663

Summer at Loons Landing:

  • Rental Period: June 14 to August 8. Rentals are available from Saturday to Saturday only.

  • Minimum Stay: 7 nights.

  • Check-in: 4:00 PM | Check-out: 10:30 AM

Fall, Winter, and Spring:

  • Minimum Stay: 2 nights.

  • Check-in: 3:00 PM | Check-out: 9:30 AM

  • Fire pits is located on the patio, firewood is provided. 

  • Please adhere to any local fire bans during dry seasons to ensure safety.

  • Guests are responsible for monitoring fire activity and ensuring fires are fully extinguished before leaving the area.

  • Swimming in the lake is at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty, so please exercise caution.

  • If any personal items are left behind, we will do our best to contact you and arrange their return. Please note that shipping fees will apply, and payment must be arranged prior to shipping.
  • Included Amenities: Bed linens, kitchen and bath towels, wireless high-speed internet, and 3 Smart TVs.
  • Recreational Equipment: Pontoon, paddle boats, rowboats, and life jackets are available at no charge. The use of the pontoon is included with your stay and is thoroughly inspected before and after each guest’s stay. We kindly ask guests to return the gas tank to full after use. Gas cans are provided for your convenience, or you may refuel at a neighboring resort’s dockside gas pump. Guests will be held responsible for any damages to the pontoon during their stay.
  • Family Needs: Pack N Play, high chairs, and air beds may be available upon request. Please reserve in advance.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed. Local boarding facilities are available; please make arrangements with them in advance.
  • RV/Tent Camping: There are no RV or tent campsites on the property.
  • Fire Safety: Fire pits may be used where designated. Please adhere to any local fire bans during dry seasons.
  • Parking is limited to designated areas. Unauthorized vehicles or trailers parked outside these areas may be towed at the guest’s expense.
  • The use of fireworks, firearms, or any illegal substances is strictly prohibited on the property. Violations will result in immediate eviction and may involve local law enforcement.
  • Guests are fully responsible for the actions of all individuals in their party, including children. Any damages caused by negligence will result in additional charges.
  • The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur on the property or while using any amenities, including but not limited to boats, canoes, paddleboards, fire pits, and outdoor equipment. Guests and all members of their party agree to use the property, facilities, and amenities at their own risk.
